This Weekend in Chicago- October 23rd- 25th

As usual, Chicagoans will have plenty to do this weekend. Perhaps the biggest event is Fashion Focus Chicago, which is being held in in the tents in Millennium Park, right next door to the Chicago condos at Lakeshore East. Here’s what else is on the agenda October 23rd-25th.

Events

Don’t hide away in your condo this Halloween – come enjoy some adult Halloween fun, The Brides of Ghost Hunter Richard Crowe: Zombies Built Chicago.  It is a play based on ghost stories centered around Chicago, and tickets are only $10. The show runs till November 14.

Help the Lincoln Park Children’s Memorial Hospital raise money with their 17th Annual Cocktails for a Cause – tickets are $100 to $200.

Restaurants

In honor of the spookiest time of the year, have dinner at a Chicago haunted mansion. Dine at The Bennett-Curtis House with a Spooktacular booffet from now until November 1. Tickets are only $35!

This new Logan Square restaurant Belly Shack is bringing Asian and Latin favors together for dishes like Asian tortilla soup, a barbecued tofu, organic brown rice and marinated tomato jibarito. Bonus – it is BYOB.

Rick Bayless has added his third restaurant to his empire on Clark Street. This one is called Xoco and it is home to classic Mexican street food, dressed up just a little for the River North crowd. One caveat – you might have wait awhile for a table cause this foodie hotspot gets pretty busy.
Movies

Head to Navy Pier and check out Where the Wild Things Are in IMAX – this movie has received great reviews.

Horror buffs will want to know that this Friday is the premiere of the 6th Saw movie, it is definitely a must-see for Halloween.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
