Happy Halloween! This weekend is one of our favorite holidays and we are excited to bring you the most exciting events happening in Chicago. In fact, if you live in one of our Chicago condos, the best event is happening right outside your door. Don’t forget to check out the Magellan Costume Parade and Children’s Party this Saturday!
Trick or treat!
Events
Head on over to Navy Pier and check out their haunted house “The Fear”. One of the best haunted houses in the city, it is $25 and features 20 rooms of frightening fun. Afterwards, stick around for the final fireworks of the year. Of course, depending on where you live in Lakeshore East, you might also have a great view from your condo.
The Roof at The Wit is hosting its 9th annual Black i Ball, dress up and have a chance to win $1000.
Up north in Peterson Park, walk through the Trails of Terror. It is a Halloween themed route designed to resemble a town by the seaside, with ½ mile of ghouls, ghost, and goblins. The $10 cost makes it a spooky bargain, but it is probably not suitable for young children.
Psychic Sidney Friedman is showing off his telepathic skills and performing mind readings in Wicker Park this Saturday and Sunday at Davenport’s Piano Bar.
If you want to get away from the Halloween madness, The Chicago Vintage Clothing Show is this weekend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This Manhattan style show debuts in Chicago with over 30 local vendors. Preview party is the Friday.
Interested in learning more about historic Chicago? Chicago Neighborhood Tours is featuring The White City this Saturday, October 31st at 9:30 am.
Restaurants
New restaurant just opened called The Fifth, which is the owner Jon Young’s fifth restaurant. This one with America flair and dishes such as pumpkin and shrimp beignets and lacquered chicken wings with buttermilk dressing, sound delicious.
Pasha, a new Spanish spot in the West Loop featuring dishes like paella and deserts like fruit-topped flan along with yummy drinks.
Movies
Instead of visiting the movie theater and dealing with the Halloween crowds, you can rent some classic movies like The Shining, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Ring, Halloween, Candyman, or Jason.
Whatever you decide to do this weekend, have a safe and Happy Halloween everyone!
