There’s nothing like being in Chicago during the holiday season, and residents of our Chicago condos are lucky enough to be living in the heart of it all. Here’s what’s happening this weekend:
Events
The third annual shopping event from the organizers of the Chicago Antique Market and the Indie Designer Market is the Modern Vintage Holiday Market. It starts this weekend and features antiques and vintage collectibles, jewelry, art, house wares, formalwear, and more. Tickets are from $8-$10 and doors open at 10:00am.
Enjoy The Magnificent Mile Light Festival this Saturday. It starts at 11:00am and there’s live music until 5pm. Then at 5:30 the parade begins, and you can stick around for fireworks on the Chicago River at Michigan Avenue. To see the full line up and entire schedule click here.
The Palmer House Hilton is hosting an Italian Designer Truck Show every day from now until November 22nd. The showcase includes leather goods and apparel from NOI Firenze and jewelry from Sada Gold and Trade Gold.
Restaurants
Visit Melanthios Greek Char House in Lakeview with entrees ranging from $9-$15 and you will see right away that the menu focuses on the owner’s favorites – the fresh, simple village food he grew up with in southern Greece.
In the mood for something sweet? Try Delightful Pastries. This European bakery offers traditional baked goods along with more upscale pastries of French and central European origin. It sure sounds delightful!
Movies
Adult comedy Pirate Radio is opening this Friday starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Bill Nighy - it looks like it will be really hilarious!
Have a great weekend!
