The opening of Aqua, the innovative skyscaper that’s home to our Chicago condos at Lakeshore East, has resulted in quite the buzz in the Chicago, especially the real estate community. It doesn’t surprise us that the Chicago Tribune picked up the story – last week, Chicago Tribune Cityscapes Editor Blair Kamin wrote about Aqua’s stunning design.
The article refers to the building as “one of Chicago’s boldest — and best — skyscrapers in years.” The tower, which is nearly complete (and there are still a few Chicago condos for sale left) covers a feature unlike any before it – curvy, bending balconies that swirl across the facade. None of these are exactly the same size or shape, which gives the building a visually compelling design.
In addition to being elegant, striking, and featuring some of the most luxurious Chicago condos on the market, Aqua couldn’t have a better location. Offering a views of the lake and the city skyline, the tower represents an exciting new direction for modern architecture and earned the following praise from the Chicago Tribune – “Aqua can be deemed a smashing success, a building that takes us in dazzling new aesthetic directions yet still manages to respond to both its urban environs and to the environment as a whole.”
